ABOUT BRENDON

Brendon Walmsley stands as one of Australian country music’s most respected singer-songwriters, celebrated for his heartfelt lyrics and compelling storytelling. A Star Maker winner and three-time CMAA Golden Guitar recipient, Brendon’s songs go beyond the surface — offering rich, relatable narratives about life’s highs and lows, the power of love and family, and the quiet strength found in faith.

Now, after more than 20 years since his last full-length release, Brendon returns with Road To Riverleigh — his fourth studio album and perhaps his most personal work to date. Woven through each track is a deep sense of place, resilience, and conviction, showcasing a songwriter whose life experience has only deepened his craft.

During the early 2000s, Brendon was a familiar name on the Australian country scene, touring nationally with artists like Troy Cassar-Daley, Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, Adam Brand, Tania Kernaghan and Melinda Schneider. His early albums, released through Compass Bros Records, earned both critical acclaim and commercial success.

In recent years, Brendon shifted his focus to family and his role leading music and production at his local church in Toowoomba. Yet music never left his life. He continued to write, perform at festivals and special events, and even explored musical theatre — including writing and starring in a stage production inspired by his beloved song Rose & Rodeo.

Now, with Road To Riverleigh marking a new chapter, Brendon is once again bringing his songs to life on stage — connecting with audiences through authentic performances that are as moving as the stories he tells.
